Column: January makes everything clear

Every end gives us a beginning, or as Hermann Hesse already wrote:

“There is magic in every beginning”.

The magic of these words is always a pleasant tailwind for me and a loving reminder that the energy of any moment can be orchestrated by myself.

We are not at the mercy of our environment and the world without protection. We always have a choice about how to face a situation, a person, a feeling.

Sometimes, when a very irritable contemporary feels invited to throw his or her own frustrations at me, I take the liberty of asking with a warm, honest smile, “Do you exist in joyful later?”

Admittedly, this does not always go down well. In most cases, however, this question elicits a smile or at least enables an exchange that may gradually transform the frustration thrown out into lightness.

All people stumble into a gray moment now and then. That’s not bad per se. The question is what we create out of it. Who we want to blame for this. From whom we want to get the gray moment solved.

Also and especially in these moments there is also a magic in the beginning. Because if we start with ourselves, we take advantage of the greatest of all opportunities to make the gray colorful again. A loving look in the mirror is the best way to start.

Let’s create the world as we like it!

Let’s turn every day into a colorful, loving, cheerful, joyful, uplifting and fulfilling spectacle. Who, except ourselves, could do this better for ourselves than ourselves?

The best part is that we are allowed to infect other people with it without restraint.
